THERE'S STILL TIME!

We’re proud to introduce our “ALL OUT Fall Feast” Food Plot Blend!

With the NC Archery Season already happening, I’m happy to say that we have all our food plots in the ground and growing!  We recently launched our “ALL OUT-Fall Feast” blend of seeds that we’ve been testing since 2020.  There’s going to be plenty of forage out there for our deer this year as Fall Feast has 2 varieties of Oats, Triticale (wheat/Rye Hybrid), Peas(2 varieties),Clover and 2 varieties of Brassicas.  In other words, we’ve got something in that blend that will be growing from now, right on into the spring, and that means nutrition for deer but also for other wildlife.

Although we drilled this seed in this year you can use a spreader or throw by hand.

A fall plot is usually planted to attract deer during the hunting season.  They’re casually called “Kill Plots” as the potential is there for deer to visit during shooting hours and can become a focal point for rut activity.  Yes, I will be sitting over the food plots at some point hoping for the right deer to come in but I know that after the smoke has cleared that the blend of seeds in Fall Feast will continue to give deer nutrients when the woods are practically bare.  Two things that I like to think about.  One, bucks go hard at it from October on into January cruising, chasing, fighting and breeding.  Bucks need food to survive the winter and build back the fat and muscle lost during the rut.  Does need food for fawn gestation and later for milk production.  The late February/March time period before the spring green up is especially difficult.  That’s why we like this blend so well.  If it hasn’t been demolished from overgrazing it can still put out nutrition during that difficult time.  That’s become more important to me as time moves forward.  It’s a fun notion to think that you are helping your herd stay at optimal health throughout the whole year and in return you can take mature buck in prime condition or a fat doe with optimal meat quality and taste!  It’s a beautiful thing!

Nothing like a beautiful green food plot in the fall. Knowing the deer are benefiting after the season has become more of the reason we plant these days.

Shameless plug here…. There’s still time left to plant your fall food plots and we’d be honored to play a part in your success this fall and deer seasons to come!  You can find “Fall Feast” at all your local Agri Supply Stores as well as products and tools to help you plant and maintain your food plots and property!  You can also find Fall Feast at Sweetwater Seeds in Williamston North Carolina!  We expect more stores to get on board with Fall Feast next season as people start talking about this product and how well it performs for them and their wildlife!
